M/BITS was formed in 2001 by a group of former key employees of TNN (The Nashville
Network) and CMT (Country Music Television). We were joined in 2002 by a former key
employee of Speer Communications and Slingshot Productions.
We specialize in consulting, design, equipment sales, facility construction, staff training, and
both warranty and non warranty technical support. We also provide disaster recovery and follow
up support. M/BITS is not a “box sale house” in any sense of the phrase. We understand and
are familiar with all the products we sell. We are able to offer equipment from all the
manufacturers listed in the front page of this document. We offer total solutions, not just
equipment in boxes.
Our clients include The Sommet Center, The Nashville Predators, The Tennessee Titans,
Gaylord Entertainment, Nashville television stations WKRN, WSMV, WTVF, WNPT and WZTV
as well as WLJT in Martin, Tennessee. Our cable clients include GAC, CMT/MTV Networks and
Trinity Broadcasting. Our educational institution clients include Vanderbilt University, Belmont
University, Lipscomb University, Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee, Union
University in Jackson, Tennessee, the University of Tennessee, Shelby County Schools, and
many others.
We specialize in providing unique solutions for our clients’ most difficult problems and
challenges. With over ninety years experience in the industry, our employees are able to
analyze our clients’ needs and provide cost effective solutions. Since we do not represent any
single manufacturer exclusively, we are able to offer the best products for our clients without
having to worry about having to meet sales quotas as do other businesses that are primarily
equipment dealers that represent only a few manufacturers.
