M/BITS Expands, Adds Experienced Engineer to Staff
Media/Broadcast Integration and Technical Services, Inc has added an experienced Broadcast Engineer to its staff this month.
M/BITS President Truett (Butch) Smith has announced that Mr. Steve Garrity has joined the M/BITS Engineering staff this month.
Business has been slowly increasing over the past few years and the need for additional resources has been increasingly obvious to the current staff members.  M/BITS celebrated its tenth anniversary on October 24, 2011. 
“We are very grateful to be able to acquire an individual with Steve’s experience, capabilities and integrity” said Butch Smith, owner and President of M/BITS.  “With our increasing workload we have been forced to work longer hours to keep up with our current demand and we have several new potential clients and projects lined up for the near future.”
Steve’s broadcast experience includes WBKO-TV, WTVF-TV, TNN: The Nashville Network, and WNKY-TV.  In addition, he has also worked at many sports venues such as LP Field, Bridgestone Arena, and several NFL stadiums while working for Durrell Sports Audio.
We are excited to have Steve on staff and look forward to many years of great service for our clients.  We have all worked with Steve since he came to TNN in the 1980.

M/BITS was formed in 2001 by a group of former key employees of TNN (The Nashville

Network) and CMT (Country Music Television). We were joined in 2002 by a former key

employee of Speer Communications and Slingshot Productions.

both warranty and non warranty technical support. We also provide disaster recovery and follow

equipment in boxes.

Our clients include The Bridgestone Arena, The Nashville Predators, The Tennessee Titans,

Gaylord Entertainment, Nashville television stations WKRN, WSMV, WTVF, WNPT and WZTV

as well as WLJT in Martin, Tennessee. Our cable clients include GAC, CMT/MTV Networks and

Trinity Broadcasting. Our educational institution clients include Vanderbilt University, Belmont

University, Lipscomb University, Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee, Union

University in Jackson, Tennessee, the University of Tennessee, Shelby County Schools, and

Young Broadcasting stations across the United States.

We specialize in providing unique solutions for our clients’ most difficult problems and

challenges. With over ninety years experience in the industry, our employees are able to

analyze our clients’ needs and provide cost effective solutions. Since we do not represent any

single manufacturer exclusively, we are able to offer the best products for our clients without
